Ellesmere Island Circumnavigation Slideshow

Join Next Adventure for one of the coolest events of the year. National Geographic Explorer Erik Boomer will present a slideshow of his 2011 circumnavigation of Ellesmere Island with Jon Turk. Ellesmere is the 10th largest island is one of the closest landmasses to the north pole. They spent 104 days dodging polar bears, dragging kayaks across the endless sheets of ice and snow, surviving howling wind, paddling between icebergs, all while traveling over 1,400 miles. Erik is a fantastic photographer and will be sharing his images and the story of an incredibly journey.
