The Story of Juicybe Bags: Get 'em now at Next Adventure
Gear News | Front Counter | Womens Gear
Ten years ago the women of B. Luz in the Philippines decided to clean up their neighborhood. They formed a Cooperative and began collecting, segregating and recycling their community's refuse to make JUICYBE bags. With recycled juice containers (mainly from school lunch programs) the women have designed durable, unique hand bags that benefit their whole community by empowering women, raising environmental awareness and providing financial support for other women owned businesses in the area. When Next Adventure learned of this project and got the opportunity to sell their bags in our store, we were all over it! Get a JUICYBE bag: touch lives across the planet, support creative solutions for sustainable living, and help reduce the mountain of plastic bags piling up in our local landfills when you BYOB (bring your own bag). $12.99-$19.99

Girl Fest

Three of us Next Adventure gals (Dawn, Caitlin and Ginnette) attended Girl Fest Saturday, December 1st. It was a real treat to help Climb Max and Darren Stone with the climbing wall and see all of you give it your best. For many of the girls it was their first time in a harness and the first time they'd ever considered climbing. The climbing wall was by far the most popular attraction and too see all of you flock to the challenge was thing of beauty. We hope we inspired you to try something new and to consider that sometimes the biggest challenges can be the most fun. Check out more pics...![]() ![]() ![]() |

An article in the September 6th Oregonian Newspaper highlighted Next Adventure as a resource for Baby Boomers gearing up to hit the great outdoors. NA's own Special Ops Manager Seth was quoted: "A lot of folks may have camped in their late teens and 20s. They did the whole kids-and-job thing. Now they're coming back, and they're blown away by the newer gear."
Next Adventure caters to adventurers of all ages. Have a question about what equipment is right for you? Come on in and let our knowledgeable and friendly staff help you get out there!

Are we awesome or What? Okay, okay. You don't have to agree but it would just be easier...you can't argue that the ladies of Next Adventure are pretty great. This week three of us; Lisa, Dawn and myself, headed out to the coast with plans to meet up with another awesome lady-Rebecca Johnson, owner and founder of Oregon Surf Adventures. (bottom left)
I started surfing almost ten years ago and its been a driving force in my life ever since. When Dawn and Lisa showed some interest, I really wanted them to try it so I got on the horn and was recommended to Rebecca. On short notice, she was totally able to accommodate us with everything we would need. Less than two days later I'm sitting in on the preliminary lesson at the shop (located in Cannon Beach) watching as Rebecca draws out the basics of rip tides on a yellow legal pad. I thought about how much knowledge I take for granted...things I might have forgotten to say. I was glad I had left this one to the pros...thanks Kevin (instructor extraordinaire) and thanks Rebecca for taking all the steps it took to get to this point...you're an inspiration to independent women everywhere.
