Get Out and Paddle: Whitewater

The Get Out and Paddle is an inclusive event that provides opportunities for all skill levels of paddlers to Get Out and Paddle with a group of people who can share their knowledge and experience of rivers with other community members. Paddlers should paddle within their ability level, and if they are in question of whether a trip is appropriate for them, they may call the shop and talk to a staff member who can help make the safest decision.

Adventures: In the style of our G.O.A.P, Next Adventure will provide a vehicle for transportation to take paddlers to various whitewater locations. We will be meeting at 8:45am am and departing at 9 a.m. The first 9 people to arrive will receive a ride to the river, but if the van is full it has always been easy for people to carpool.

Required Gear: Boat, paddle, skirt, Immersion wear, safety gear, a proper fitting PFD, & helmet.  The idea is that this is not a guided tour or a class, but an opportunity to paddle with the community.

***These items can be rented from the Paddle Sports Center with 24 hours advance notice.

The second Saturday of the month will be class II, the third Saturday will be class III and the fourth Saturday will be class IV. The rivers will be subject to change depending on conditions, but we will try to Adventure and explore new rivers each weekend.

Locations are flow dependent.
