Paddling in the reflection of the Columbia River Gorge icon, our Beacon Rock and Pierce Wildlife Refuge Guided trip provides incredible views of the Gorge in all of its majesty. We begin by launching out of Beacon State Park in protected portion of the mighty Columbia River, catching views of Hamilton and Table Mountain and the rugged Oregon side of the gorge. Exploring both Pierce Island and Ives Island, we encounter a variety of wildlife, including osprey, black-tail deer and perhaps a Stellar Sea Lion looking for salmon. Conditions permitting, we will head out to main portion of the Columbia for a cruise downriver back to our original launch.
