Destination: Riverside Trail, Clackamas River, Mt. Hood National Forest
 
Where we meet: Next Adventure 9:30 AM, return to shop by 5:00 PM
 
Duration: ~7.5 hours
 
Experience Necessary: No Previous Experience Neccessary
 
Equipment Provided: Next Adventure will provide transportation, snacks, and experienced guides that can answer questions about the flora, fauna, geology and local history of the trail.
 
When: October 15th, 2016
 
The moderately-graded Clackamas River Trail winds along the river from pebbly beaches to cliff-tops through Doug-fir forest. If the fall rains are right, salmon spawn int he river shallows and mushrooms grow by the trail.
 
Next Adventure will provide transportation, snacks, and experienced guides that can answer questions about the flora, fauna, geology and local history of the trail.
 


 
You need to bring:
 
- sturdy hiking shoes with synthetic or wool socks
- hiking apparel (anything but cotton)
- Day pack
- water (2 quarts)
- lunch (& snacks if you have special dietary needs)
- sun and rain gear
- your trail essentials (see below)
