|

Hey Friends! Welcome to the 2009 Eugene Celebration disc golf tournament held at the beautiful Dexter state park. This was my first trip to Dexter, but it won't be my last. I loved playing this tourney, the course was awesome. It offers a challenging variety of tee's and fairways from open greens to tight wooded holes and all very well maintained. This might be my new favorite place! (Cont'd...See Full Post/Pics on our Staff Blog)

Next Adventure's Clash on the Columbia

|

(above) All the division winners from Juniors to Grandmasters holding their trophy's high.

[August 22nd and 23rd was] Next Adventure's very own Clash On The Columbia Disc Golf Tournament. Held at Leverich park in Vancouver Washington. Since this was our own event we wanted make it a memorable one. Aside from the competition itself there was lots going on. Like the Amazing succulent tri tip and pork loin lunch that NA's very own Ian cooked up , a metal cover band that rocked the house, a kick ball game, Raffles and giveaways. oh yeah and the $1000 dollar ace pot that was split. It was definitely a fun filled time.

Chick Flick: Update

|

The '09 Chick Flick was a blast.  We enjoyed providing everyone with hamburgers, ten inch hot dogs and delicious Hopworks beer.

To all you wonderful ladies: as always, it was a pleasure coming out and seeing you have a good time.  See you at the next Chick Flick if not sooner out on the course.

Hab/Rec: '08

|

The past couple of years, the weather for Hab/Rec has been a pleasant surprise; sunny, mild. This year, however, was a test of our local disc golf community and their love of the sport. NA employee Joey Moro, aka "Joey Donut's" was one of those who braved the downpour and slung disc for another successful Hab/Rec:

"This year's Hab/Rec was the most fun I've had in a tourney yet. It's always a great group of people that come together to make this event happen. Even though it stormed throughout the 1st round, it wasn't enough to deter Portland's dedicated disc golfers."

Fling'n Disc and Flip'n Burgers

|

Hello out there to all of you who were out at the Beaver State Fling this past weekend. You may have seen us at our booth or for a brief moment before practicing a little mouth to burger resuscitation. Hope you all enjoyed the food and had a good time. It was great to see the pro's out there and get an idea of how far this sport has really come. Here are some pics we took while we were out and about... Next Adventure is proud to be a part of the Disc Golf community; promoting local events like this one as well as other local affiliates like Stump Town Disc Golf and Huk Lab.

Support the PDGA World Championships

|

In the summer of 2008, Kalamazoo, Michigan will host the PDGA World Championships. To salute the Wolverine State and support the 2008 Championships Huk Lab is proud to release a special edition Worlds Fundraiser Disc. The art was hand sketched and then water colored for a truly unusual full color disc. This disc is full of Michigan symbology as the White Pine, the state tree, anchors the design in the form of a triFly. Flanking the tree are a Robin, state bird, the Brook Trout, state fish and, of course, the Wolverine. The art is rendered using the Discraft SuperColor process which produces the most vibrant flyArt in the sky today. Available here at Next Adventure: $25

Rose City Open 2007

|

The cool shade of Pier Park's canopy was a welcome start to this year's 2nd Annual Rose City Open! Sixteen ladies and 128 guys participated in the 2 day event, just one of seven Oregon Series Tournaments. As always, a big thank you goes out to everyone who staffed, supported, and participated in the event. It's always great to experience first hand the strength of Portland's disc golf community, whether it's through the dedicated players, the friends and family who come to support, or the vendors who arrive to feed and cloth us!

A special shout out to Sam and company, and also to the Stumptown Disc Golf Club for your help at the tourney. It amazes me how well organized and FUN you guys make these events! So whether you're a pro or just getting started, get out there and huk!...and I'll see you at Hab Rec in October!
