Rooster Rock Guided Tour
From kayak, the Columbia River Gorge is Gorge-ous! You'll see why the view is better from the water when you launch at Dalton Point, paddle to rooster rock and around Sand Island. Trust us when we say this is one of the most majestic paddling locations in the Northwest. Lined with distinct formations of volcanic rock, this part of the Gorge is a unique sanctuary for wildlife and a fantastic spot for viewing raptors. A catered lunch is provided for a mid-paddle meal right by the river. Westerly winds in the summer provide a fun and mildly challenging ride back to Dalton Point. If you're worrying about tipping, please stop! We paddle super-stable recreational kayaks on this trip so your upright status is all but guaranteed.
