The Pacific Crest Trail Association's website is an awesome resource for information on the PCT.  If you are planning a thru-hike or just want to find out what it's all about, this is a site you must check out.

"The Mazamas, founded in 1894 on the summit of Mt. Hood, is a non-profit mountaineering organization located in Portland Oregon. We offer about 500 hikes and 300 climbs annually. Activities, offered for every skill and fitness level, are open to both members and non-members. To join Mazamas, you need to have climbed to the summit of a glaciated mountain peak."

Mazamas members get a discount on certain products in the shop.

Great website for finding nice hikes around Portland and the northwest, and too find other hiking partners with similar interests. Check out their map, it's pretty useful.
