Full Review

The GravityWorks system is a game changer when it comes to fast, easy delivery of filtered water. It worked well for my friend and I as we hiked thru the Appalachian Trail. When we started out, he would crouch by the water source and use his pump while I kicked back and let my gravity filter do the work. This left me more time to cook, set up camp, and hang a bear bag. Eventually he eventually ditched the pump and the 4 liter gravity system provided both of our drinking water. After about six weeks I sent it home because it was (as most things are to a thru hiker) too heavy. It still worked when I finished the trail, and I still use it when traveling with several people.

Review Summary Points
"The Good" List: Easy to use and backflush, saves time and effort.

"The Not so Good List": Heavier than purifying drops, needs either a deep water source or a fast flowing one to fill the dirty bag all the way. Not ideal for trickling sources.

The Bottom Line: Ideal for travel with more than one person. Wake up with a gallon of filtered water!
