The Full Review:
The first time I used this headlamp I was going through the Ape Caves lava tubes, located near Mt. St. Helens in Washington. I had the brightest light in the group and it wasn't even on the brightest setting. Everyone was following behind me to see better.
I have also used this light cycling at night before I got a headlight for my bike. It was plenty bright and kept me safe and visible on city roads.
When I took it backpacking, I really appreciated the ability to dim light for use around the campfire. The red light setting is perfect for getting in and out of the tent without interfering with your night vision, especially when I got up to potty in the middle of the night. The red light did not wake or bother my companion at all. There is also a lock feature that prevents it from accidentally turning on in your pack, which was a big seller for me!
When they say waterproof, they mean it. The second night on the trail our tent failed and we woke up in puddles of water. My headlamp was among the puddles. I immediately panicked, thinking I had accidentally ruined my headlamp. My companion had the same headlamp and reminded me of the great news. They are waterproof!
The Good
Waterproof
The Bad:
I have had no complaints with this product
The Bottom Line:
If you want a quality headlamp at an affordable price, this is for you. It is reliable and practical. I love it.
