Trip Report: Hike From Eagle Creek to Punchbowl Falls

When: 3/21/2016 Location: Eagle Creek to Punchbowl Falls Conditions: Rainy and overcast Duration: The hike was about 4 miles round trip. Difficulty: Easy to moderate hike. Kid Friendly? yes Pet Friendly? yes Useful Links: Be prepared to buy a day pass for parking. The hike was 2 miles in and 2 miles out. There were lots of small waterfalls on the trail. Parts of the trail were really narrow, but hand rails were added for extra safety. This trail offered slugs, mushrooms, and lots of flowers. Once getting to punch bowl falls viewing area, you are in between two waterfalls. The water here is really calm and you can walk around in the water without fear of being swept away. To actually see punch bowl falls, you have to walk carefully over stones about 15 feet out.
