NO-SEE-UM HEAD NET
Pull this on when the no-see-ums come out at dusk on a Cascade lake or a coastal campsite and the regular mosquito net is not stopping them. The mesh is woven at 1600 holes per square inch, fine enough to block the tiny biting midges that walk straight through standard netting, and it still breathes well enough to wear through dinner. It slips over a brimmed hat or ball cap to keep the net off your face, and the elastic neck seals it down. It weighs almost nothing, so it lives in the lid pocket all summer.
