A classic straight-shaft mountaineering axe from CAMP, in three lengths for glacier travel, snow climbs and self-arrest practice on the Palmer snowfield. The Alpina is the simple, durable tool to learn on and keep: a steel head with a positive-curve pick and an adze for chopping steps or a platform, on a straight aluminum shaft that plunges cleanly as a snow anchor and canes comfortably on the walk up. Pick a length that reaches your ankle bone standing relaxed.
