Crag Light Belay

Fifty-eight grams is all this device adds to a harness, which is why it belongs on alpine and multipitch racks where a tube is still the simplest way to belay and rappel on two strands. The V-shaped grooves give you the friction to hold a fall and still feed rope smoothly to a leader, and it takes twin, half and single ropes from 7.5 to 10.5 mm, so it pairs with an 8 mm alpine double as readily as a gym single.
