One BOA dial tightens the whole boot in seconds with a glove on, which counts for more than it sounds like on a cold chair at Hood, and the liner is heat moldable, so it can be cooked to your foot in the shop instead of packing out over a season. Salomon builds it on their footwear side, and the Feather 1.0 outsole is the visible part of that: it absorbs landings and grips a slick lift ramp.
