LIFT ASCENDER

A rope clamp with no teeth, which is the point. The Lift grips by pivoting the rope around a lever when it is weighted, so it is kind to the sheath on a fixed line, a haul system or a crevasse rescue where a toothed cam would chew. It is tiny and 95 g: open the rotating side plate, lay in an 8 to 13 mm rope, close it, clip a carabiner through the hole and climb. Works as a backup on a rappel or a progress capture in a 3:1 too.
