A ski sock with cushioning and body-mapped mesh placed where a boot needs it, and thinner knit in between so a tight liner still fits right. The over the calf height keeps the sock above the boot cuff so nothing bunches under the buckles. Merino keeps feet warm on cold chairlift rides at Meadows and still manages sweat on the traverse back to the car.
