SLIDER LEASH

A simple wrist leash that keeps your mountaineering axe attached when the snow turns to ice on the Hogsback or the South Side gets crowded. The variable-width wrist loop cinches snug over a glove without pinching, a slider sets the length so the axe reaches full extension on steep ground, and at 30 g it is the kind of piece you clip on in the Timberline lot and forget about until you need it.
