SUMMIT ICE AXE

The SUMMIT is a classic mountaineering axe for glacier walks, snow climbs and the winter standard routes on Hood, Adams and St. Helens. A thin 3 mm pick, toothed at the tip, bites into hard snow and ice, and there is enough weight in the head to anchor it with one swing. The 7075 aluminum shaft is anodized against wear, and the stainless steel spike plunges cleanly when you use it as a cane on the way up. Pick and spike protectors come in the box.
