The pulley to live on a glacier harness. The Tethys Pro is small enough to forget about until a crevasse rescue or a haul needs it, and then its sealed ball bearings run at 92 percent efficiency so a 3:1 actually moves the load. Rotating side plates open on the rope mid-system, the oversized attachment point takes two carabiners, and a prusik can be minded on either side. Built for ropes up to 13 mm, which covers glacier cords and single ropes alike.
