The Trail 30 is Deuter's alpine day pack, sized for long summit pushes and via ferrata days where you want a close, stable carry. A flexible Delrin U-frame and pull-forward hip fins keep the load centered on steep ground, and the flat lid leaves room to look up with a helmet on. Front zip access gets you into the main compartment without unpacking from the top, and a rain cover rides along for the wet shoulder-season days common in the Cascades.
