Ultra-Sil Daypack

Twenty liters of pack that weighs two and a half ounces and stuffs into a pocket the size of a tennis ball. It lives in the bottom of a travel bag or the lid of a bigger pack and costs you nothing to carry until the day you need a second bag: a summit push, a grocery run from a hostel, a day trip off a basecamp.

The fabric is 30D siliconized CORDURA, which is why it survives being loaded up rather than tearing at the seams like a nylon shopping tote. Stress points are bar-tacked and the shoulder straps are reinforced. They are not padded, so Sea to Summit rates it for about 15 lb comfortably, and that is honest: this is a light-load pack, not a hauler.
