Gear Review: Anasazi MoccAsym Climbing Shoes

Five Ten Anasazi Moccasym The Full Review: The Anasazi Moccasym, dream second shoe for me as a female sport climber looking to stay challenged. Moving from my first shoe - La Sportiva Mythos - which was stretched, worn and ready for a resole has had a noticeably positive affect on my performance as a climber training in the gym this winter. I am women's size 8 walking shoe wearing a men's size 6.5 in the Moccasym. The Good: Solid grip with sticky sole, taut low volume fit, no laces or Velcro, noticeably more aggressive profile and increased power ideal for a second climb shoe. The Bad: Concerned for eventual stretch fact in leather upper and heel cup but, after regular weekly use over two months since purchase I'm still happily breaking the shoes in and don't have any noticeable dead space. The Bottom Line: Great second shoe to advance climbing, size down as much as you can and maybe buy a second pair for the tragic moment down the line when the shoe eventually stretches out.
