When: 10/01/2018 Location: Columbia Gorge Conditions: Fall weather, colors changing, light drizzle Duration: 2 hours Difficulty: Easy Kid Friendly: Yes Pet Friendly: No dogs :( Mount Talbert Hiking Area Mount Talbert Hiking Area The Full Report: Mount Talbert is a beautiful place to spend the morning or afternoon. It’s easy to access and an extremely short drive to get there no matter where you're coming from in Portland. The park offers over 4 miles of hiking trails and luscious green foliage. There is plenty of free parking and a clean restroom at the trailhead. Mount Talbert Hiking Area Mount Talbert Hiking Area This is a perfect hiking option if you have some other things to do in town during the day but still want to get a hike in. Make sure and remember which parking lot you leave your vehicle in because there are quite a few different entrances on the loop. We accidentally passed ours and ended up doing the loop twice, LOL, I guess we lucked out and burned some extra calories. Mount Talbert Hiking Area Mount Talbert Hiking Area Unfortunately, there are no dogs allowed on these trails, but I didn't see any signs against cats, monkeys, or your pet parrot. Always remember to leave no trace!
