Video Gear Review: 2018 Rome SDS Mountain Division Snowboard

Tony from Next Adventure gives a rundown on the Mountain Division Snowboard from Rome Snowboard Design Syndicate.
- Hey guys, I'm Tony and I'm talking about the Rome Mountain Division. This is gonna be an intermediate to expert freeride & all-mountain board. It's gonna be a directional board, designed for someone who wants to charge all over the mountain, mostly going straight and not really hitting rails, riding lots of powder and lots of groomers. It has Rome’s FreeTheRide camber. This locates the camber from under your back foot up to this front insert pack, then it flattens out and then rocks up in the nose. The rocker is going to help with float in the powder while the flat section is gonna help a lot with turn initiation. It will give you a smooth entry into your turn and then the camber under your back feet is gonna really give you a lot of power and a lot of pop. It also has carbon stringers that run from under the back foot up through the back insert pack. The board has a bi-ax glass in it, which means it's going to be a little looser torsionally but these carbon stringers will help stiffen it up a little bit and give you that power under your back foot. It also has a sintered base which is going to absorb wax really well and stay super fast. You will have to wax it fairly regularly, but it'll keep you speeding through powder and on the groomers. It also has a really light wood core layup, with sections of super light poplar wood. Every Rome board is gonna come with a two-year warranty against manufacturer defects, make sure you register it online. If you like going fast, riding powder, or going big, this is the board for you. That's the Mountain Division. Thanks for watching, I'm Tony again, with Next Adventure and this is the Rome SDS Mountain Division Snowboard. Find it in the store or online at www.nextadventure.net
