Gear Review: YakAttack SwitchBlade Transducer Deployment Arm - Next Adventure

Gear Review: YakAttack SwitchBlade Transducer Deployment Arm

An angler can, without a doubt, catch fish without the use of electronics. But what electronics can do is give an angler more opportunities to catch fish. This could mean identifying structures in deep water or identify bait and schools of fish in the water column. As kayaks are unable to cover as much water as a boat, this could potentially be even more useful.

Switch Blade Transducer Arm With kayaks, it may be less obvious how to install both the transducer and screen. Each kayak have many different areas that a transducer can be mounted, such as: SwitchPad Flexible Mount or a built-in track mounting system. But one of the most versatile ways is to use the Switch Blade Transducer Arm by YakAttack. The Transducer Arm works great on almost all kayaks, stand up paddle board’s (SUP), and inflatable kayaks. The great thing about the Switch Blade Transducer Arm, is it includes just about all the hardware you would need for any mounting solution.

Switch Blade Transducer Arm The main reason I use this transducer mount is so that I have the ability to move my fish finder between a few different vessels I have. Including my tournament fishing kayak, the Native Watercraft Slayer MAX 10. I use the Switch Blade Transducer Mount in addition to the YakAttack Fish Finder Mount with LockNLoad to mount both the transducer and the screen in one central location. This keeps the setup simple and quick.

Switch Blade Transducer Arm The best thing about the Switch Blade Transducer Mount is that it is very adjustable. There are sections you can remove to make the setup shorter. Or change how it sits on your kayak and reaches the water. It also has sections that allow it to move 360 degrees. This means if you hit a rock or a tree, the arm will easily bend out of the way instead of breaking or ripping off your kayak.
