A weekend in Bend; What I packed and How I Wore it. - Next Adventure

A weekend in Bend; What I packed and How I Wore it.

I recently spent a relaxing long weekend in Bend, OR with some friends. We hiked, hopped around town, and hung out in our Airbnb. Dressing for Fall is a challenge for me when the temperatures are chilly in the morning and evening and warmer during the day. I’ve invested in some great pieces that make layering and seasonal transitions easy for me and want to share them!

The forecast for our day at Smith was a high of 80 so starting early was in our favor. I started the hike off with my Patagonia Hooded Down Sweater, as my legs tend to not get as cold as my upper body. For my top I wore an active tank under my Patagonia Lightweight Synchilla Snap-T Fleece Pullover and layered my Patagonia Hooded Down Sweater overtop. I love bringing my Down Sweater on hikes because it packs down small enough to fit in my 16L daypack when it’s time to strip down some layers.

Back at the car, I changed into my Teva Hurricane XLT2 sandals to give my feet some breathing room after being in my trail runners for the last few hours (yes, I am team trail runners for hiking).

Day 2 we spent bopping around town and exploring the Fall festival happening in the downtown area. Since the forecast called for cooler temperatures this day, I decided to wear my Prana Sancho Overalls. These have become a staple in my fall wardrobe because they are lightweight which is great for warmer days and easy to throw a warm top under for chilly evenings. The material is fitted but stretchy, which makes for a great wear all day.

The roads to and from Bend are scenic but require a comfortable fit for the 3.5-hour trek. My go-to travel pant is my Prana Alana Joggers. I love these pants because they are super versatile, I can wear them every day on a 2-week road trip (and I have) or in the climbing gym. They are breathable which gives me all-day comfort regardless of where I am. I paired these with my, easy to wear, Birkenstock Mayari Brikibuc Sandal and re-wore my Patagonia Lightweight Synchilla Snap-T Fleece Pullover for the perfect travel day ‘fit (in my opinion).
