If you haven’t made it out to Rose City Golf Course for the Tuesday nights random draw doubles yet I’m here to tell you that you really need to check it out. It’s a little pricier than your average league night, however, it includes a golf cart with your partner and playing on property with clean manicured fairways. There’s also a clubhouse to hang out in before and after with food and beverages as well as a beverage cart you might see come around a time or two during your round. Food and beverages are not included in the league fees. Thanks to the hard work of Brain Cole and TJ Goodwin and their relationship with Rose City Golf Course they’ve set up this league that will run every Tuesday night into August.
The course is a par 61 and utilizes the back 9 golf holes on the property which are shut down to ball golfers after 5pm so it can be used by disc golfers only. There is a great mixture of par 3’s and 4’s, ranging from 275 ft. to 850 ft., that challenge a great mixture of shots from backhands, forehands, rollers, and even an overhand or two if you have that shot in your bag. Overall, it’s a well-designed course on a beautiful property for disc golf.
Signups start 4:30 in the clubhouse and they usually have things getting started by 5:30. You’ll want to make sure to get there as close to 4:30 as you can as the turnout has been great and the event has already sold out one night. You can find out all the details at:
