Full Report: Last weekend I had the opportunity to combine a work trip to Dallas, TX with some disc golf with a friend who lives in Waco, TX. Luckily I was able to extend my trip through the weekend. My good friends and fellow disc golfers Ginger and Mark Bowman put me up and showed me some awesome Texas golf.

I was able to play a casual round with Ginger and some of the locals at Cameroon West disc golf course in Waco, TX on Friday. This is a fun mid size course with some open and wooded holes along with some elevation changes. I had a great time and the locals made me feel at home.

On Saturday my friend Ginger & I played in the Crowley Spring Stampede PDGA B Tier in Crowley, TX. After two grueling rounds in the hot Texas Sun at the Bicentennial Disc Golf course, Ginger and I were tied for first in the advanced women's division. We opted to stay tied, and split the "vouchers" (vouchers are like gift certificates which winners can redeem for merchandise). There was a first place trophy however, and Ginger and I had a throw off to see who could land closest to the basket, which I won.

I also was able to experience some good TexMex at a local Waco favorite Rudy's.

On Sunday, I played in the local doubles event at Woodway Park in Woodway, TX. I played in the mixed doubles division with local Tim, and we were on a card with my hosts Ginger and Mark Bowman. Tim and I played well enough to take down 2nd.
