Event Report: Hab/Rec Fall Open Disc Golf Tournament

This past Saturday the 13th Annual Hab/Rec Fall Open disc golf tournament presented by Next Adventure took place at Milo McIver State Park. It might have been called the Fall Open, but with temperatures in the low 80s it was very summer like. You could not have asked for better disc golf weather.

This one day disc golf event is very popular, and it sold out in just a few hours after registration opened. Organizer Patrick Buckley & his crew put on a great event with key support by title sponsor Next Adventure, and other sponsors like KEEN, Innova, Stumptown Disc Golf, & 4discgolf.

The tournament takes place at Milo McIver State Park, and is one of very few events that is allowed to play on the east & west 18 hole layout. This years event had one of the largest fields of women in the 13 year history of the event with 3 Pro women, 14 advanced women, 10 Amateur women & 4 Recreational women taking part. This years ladies champions are:

• Pro Women's Champion Jackolyn Halsted
• Advanced Women's Champion Rachel Benton
• Amateur Women's Champion Kiley Corfield
• Recreational Women's Champion Tina Murry

Hab/Rec is one of the most fun events of the year, and this years event did not disappoint. I already can't wait for next years event; see everyone there!
