Event Report: Rose Bud Almost Open - Next Adventure

Event Report: Rose Bud Almost Open

--Event Details--
Event name: Rose Bud Almost Open
Event Location: United States
Event Type: Disc Golf Fundraiser Tournament
Event Date: April 19, 2015

Full Report: This weekend I attended an awesome event . The tournament played on the scenic Timber Safari Course in famous Estacada, OR used of years past. 18 holes, par 59. Maximum 80 persons. Two rounds of non-sanctioned, relaxed, and non pressure disc golf. First round is mixed with all divisions and then the second pairs you up with your division. The proceeds from this tournament went towards a new disc golf course that has been slowly developed over the last few years: Holbrook Disc Golf Course located on private property off of Cornellius Pass Road, via highway 30. A fellow disc golfer, Dan Davis, owns the land.

Barry Seth first convinced Dan to start playing golf four or five years ago, and then one day on the links the conversation came up about putting a disc golf course on his land. Events like these keep the sport growing and developing around the area. It's always so beneficial to contribute to work parties, fundraiser tournaments, special events, and disc golf clinics! I had a blast playing with an awesome ladies card, including my beautiful sister. I can't wait to attend more disc golf events this summer and broaden my tournament experience.

Thanks to my sponsors Next Adventure Flight Crew, DGA Disc Golf, and DGOD!
