The Full Review: The Niche Maelstrom is one of my favorite all mountain boards I’ve ridden. Pretty much, it feels like a very traditional style snowboard, which is what I love. The board has a stiffer camber profile, which I find to be fun and stable. This board can handle all situations you ride it through like a champ! I felt that the board was stiff and responsive, but that it was light and fun with a touch of playfulness. I took this board into the trees and it turned well. I put it on edge while carving down a steep slope, and it held well. Overall, this is another great board if you’re looking for “the one”.
The Good: This board will do anything you want it to.
The Bad: No need for another board, unless you want it.
The Bottom Line: If you’re in the market for fun all mountain board from a company with great values, support Niche and buy this board!
