Gear Review: 2021 Ride Warpig Snowboard
Value Rating: 10
Durability Rating: 8
Overall Rating: 9
Location of Test: Mission Ridge Ski and Board Resort in Wenatchee, WA
Duration of Test: A few laps
Product Name: Warpig Snowboard
Product Brand: Ride
Best Use: Freeride / Powder The Full Review: This board is very solid. Something about the sidecut made it feel a little catchy on flat ground, in those times when you aren’t exactly on one edge or the other. It also felt a little low on traversing groomers, but that could’ve been due to lack of wax or sticky afternoon conditions. Once on steeper groomers, the board delivered fun wide carves, with the fat tail snapping back the energy you put into it on the heelside. For its volume and shape, the Ride Warpig was surprisingly light. With a lot of snowboards I tried at the Demo Days, this is another one that I would love to ride again on a more powdery day.
The Good: Lightweight, fun carving
The Bad: Catchy on flat. Lots of contact with snow makes for a slower ride sometimes.
The Bottom Line: A very unique shape and a fun/versatile snowboard for the pricepoint.
