Gear Review: 2021 Rossignol Sashimi Snowboard - Next Adventure

Gear Review: 2021 Rossignol Sashimi Snowboard

Value Rating: 10 Durability Rating: 9 Overall Rating: 10 Location of Test: Mission Ridge Ski and Board Resort in Wenatchee, WA Duration of Test: A few laps Product Name: 2021 Sashimi Product Brand: Rossignol Best Use: All Mountain/ Powder Rossignol Sashimi Snowboard The Full Review: First impression when you look at this board, one thinks, “This board is meant for deep pow, and deep pow only”. Wrong! This board is meant to do it all! One of the best words I can use to describe this board is “Cadillac”. The board is a tank. It’s a volume shifted board that holds the edge well and has amazing float. The Sashimi is designed to handle powder conditions extremely well, but what I feel is underrated is its capabilities on hard-packed conditions, on and off piste. This board turns effortlessly and provides stability. When at higher speeds, I was surprised by the lack of chatter in the nose, given its size. Also, do you literally want to surf the mountain? If you do, this is the board for it.

The Good: Great in all conditions, holds edge well, provides plenty of stability and float. The Bad: The board felt a bit heavy under foot, but not a huge issue. The Bottom Line: This board is awesome! If you like fun powder shapes, but a board that can handle any situation, get yourself one of these bad boys.
