I frequent Oswald West State Park on the Oregon Coast for surfing, In the summer, when the sun is shining on beautiful Short Sands beach, there is no place that I would rather be than in the chilly Pacific, paddling for little green sliders. After a few hours of morning surfing, I usually set up my ENO Double Nest in the old growth forest overlooking the water. Above the surf, I relax and read to the sound of sun screen spray, volleyball games and nearby waves.
The lightweight, strong and easy to setup hammock is perfect for toting down to the beach along with a blanket wetsuit and surfboard. It is a great addition to my setup, because it allows me to recharge between surf sessions, and really escape to a beach state of mind on the summer weekends.
Sure, you could hog the whole Double Deluxe and feel like the King or Queen of your own country, but what good is a party bus with no party? Invite a friend, stretch out, and laugh together at all the people sitting in the sand like suckers. The added width of the Double Deluxe makes it the perfect option for some quality time for you and your favorite St. Bernard.
Review Summary Points:
"The Good" List: The super strong nylon construction allows for a cuddly or envious friend to join me in my relaxation station.
"The Not so Good List": Even a slight breeze can be pretty chilly underneath the hammock, so a sleeping pad or under quilt is essential for evenings and windy days.
The Bottom Line: When the sun is shining, an ENO hammock offers limitless possibilities for creative, easy setup. Take this thing on your next fun trip and you are guaranteed a comfortable, relaxing time.
