Gear Review: Helinox Chair Zero Camp Chair - Next Adventure

Gear Review: Helinox Chair Zero Camp Chair

Value Rating: 7 Durability Rating: 10 Overall Rating: 10 Location of Test: River, plains, mountain gains Duration of Test: 2 years Product Name: Chair Zero Product Brand: Helinox Best Use: When you might want to sit and one pound to carry isn’t a concern Chair Zero The Full Review: I keep this chair handy in my tote for the “what if I want to sit in the middle of the creek” trips, the “dog park when my dog just wants to absorb the moment rather than participate” outings, the weekend hikes, the beach, resort riding lunch breaks, you see the trend. Chair Zero I love that it folds down to the size of a bottle of wine without the weight or sulfide headache. My favorite location of use thus far is smack dab in the middle of a stream while water rushes under your butt, over your feet and away with your thoughts. The Good: I only have 30” legs, so I love that my feet are firmly grounded when I want, and prop up proportionately when I use my pack as a footrest. You’re not the comfortable, yet still jerkish jerk, at summer concerts or movies in the park. You can set your drink straight on the ground. No more being sad about cupholder’s lack of compatibility. However, if it’s called a handle you should have already known this. The Bad: The wind can blow it away if you set it up and don’t use it. Don’t do that. The cost. Other small chair people will be envious of yours. Egoeople might look down on you. Literally. The Bottom Line: I recommend building your friend list off those who have, or are willing to get, short chairs (I’ve convinced three so far).
