The Full Review:
After trying on about 10 different climbing shoes I found that the Pulse Negative from Mad Rock fit me the best. I am more of an intermediate skill level rock climber and wasn't looking for something with a super aggressive arch. I really like that these had laces instead of Velcro so I could really tighten the shoe on my foot well. I found that they are really supportive and feel like they are a part of my foot when I climb. I have done plenty of smearing in these shoes and have found the rubber to be super grippy which is great.
After owning these shoes for over 6 months of both outdoor and indoor climbing I see very little sign of wear and tear. This has surprised me because these were one of the lower priced shoes I was considering. I also really like the cool red color that stands out a bit from all the other shoes that look so alike in the gym. All in all, I would recommend these to any into or intermediate rock climber who wants a great pair of durable shoes for a great price.
The Good:
Light
Form-fitting
Has laces for a better fit
Great price point
Comfortable
The Bottom Line:
These shoes are by the far the most bang for your buck. Comfy, grippy, form-fitting and long-lasting.
