The Full Review:
Ohhhh what can I say about the Rocky Mountain Underground North Shore 108’s... besides that fact that they are some of the dopest all mountain skis on the market at this time! These skis caught my attention first because of the manufacturer. RMU started from the bottom (literally) in the bottom of a fire station crafting handmade skis. Now they have production set up in the Blizzard factory which almost never happens. I point this out to emphasize these folks are doing something right.
The RMU North Shore 108 skis themselves are an all mountain ski with a lean towards powder days. At 108 underfoot they have plenty of float for the backcountry and powder days at the resort. The rocker profile is perfect for those deep days as well. Another thing these skis excel in is plowing through the chop and crud. I feel stable and in control in all situations. I have picked these as my 1 ski quiver for this year. That is because they are light enough for backcountry lines and fat enough to float on top of everything. I am stoked on this ski so far.
The Good:
light
sweet rocker
good float
great 1 ski quiver
The Bottom Line:
These skis are a perfect 1 ski quiver for the guy or gal who loves both back and front country skiing and will go hunting for the powder when it lands. RMU is a great company that has the soul of skiing behind it.
