Gear Review: Snap Dragon Hot Hands Kayak Pogies - Next Adventure

Gear Review: Snap Dragon Hot Hands Kayak Pogies

Value Rating: 10 Durability Rating: 10 Overall Rating: 10 Location of Test: Many rivers in the PNW Duration of Test: 3 months Product Name: Hot Hands Pogies Product Brand: Snap Dragon Best Use: cold weather kayaking Pogies Pogies The Full Review: I started kayaking in the Southeast and always wondered when watching videos of Pacific Northwest boaters what the heck was on their hands? Pogies. These are a true wintertime essential for kayaking. I've tried gloves and they just don't allow me to get enough grip on the paddle. These Snap Dragon Pogies do an awesome job of keeping water out and keeping your hands extra warm. These are roomy enough for someone with bigger hands and the Velcro never comes off the paddle even in rough whitewater. There were times even on the White Salmon River where my hands began to sweat. Now that’s not a bad problem to have. The great thing about these pogies is that if you don't want to use them for a bit you can just slide them to the center of your paddle and they stay secured and out of the way. These are definitely the best pogies I've used and would highly recommend them. Pogies The Good -Super Warm! -Durable -Awesome value -Strong Velcro -Stays on paddle when not using them The Bad: For such a great price there really is no downside to these. The Bottom Line: If you are going to be paddling through the winter months these Hot Hands Pogies are a must. Your fingers are usually what gets cold the quickest and you don't want to be cutting you kayaking short because of it. Buy a pair of these pogies and keep them on your paddle, use them as needed!
