The Full Review:
The Werner Sherpa is the younger brother of the famous Werner Powerhouse. The Sherpa has quite a similar shape but has just a little bit less surface area when compared to the Powerhouse. The fiberglass construction is absolutely bombproof, you can take it on your lower water runs and smack it on rocks and it is going to hold its shape. I like to use it for playboating because of the smaller blade. When using a bigger blade sometimes it can catch in the water if you are trying to do stern squirts.
Another reason I would suggest the Sherpa is for people with bad shoulders or smaller people in general. Again, the Powerhouse is quite a big blade and can put too much torque on the paddler's body. Going with this blade can protect your body and help you to get more concise strokes.
The Good
Durable
Light
Not too big of a blade
Reputable brand
Bombproof construction
The Bottom Line:
I have quite a large quiver of paddles and this one gets used often. It's a bombproof paddle that I know is going to last and has plenty of application.
