The Full Review:
This has been my go-to down jacket for the better part of this last year. Wherever it is that I'm going, whether it's 90 degrees when I leave Portland or not, I make sure to bring this jacket with me. It has so many great uses. Just after the sun goes down and it drops a nice cool 10 degrees I throw the Wilderness Technology Down Sweater on and stay warm all night. I brought this puffy jacket up to the summit of Mt Hood with me to serve as my break time puffy, so I wouldn't cool down too much while sitting still. I wear this jacket while I sleep overnight in my hammock and it gets a little chilly around 3 in the morning. The point is that this jacket is just hands down comfortable.
The shell and lining are made of nylon, which makes it a great protectant against a light rain. In addition to that, it dries quickly. The inside is a 90/10 duck down with a 600-fill power. Fill power is the measure of "fluffiness" in a down jacket. Therefore, this jacket is lofty, warm, soft and packs a punch for a lightweight, collapsible jacket.
I'm wearing it right now.
The Good
Collapsible and takes up little room in a pack
Very warm in cold overnight situations
Soft and comfortable
Two zippered pockets
Comfortable Hood
Versatile
The Bad:
Would be nice to have a fitted bottom on the men’s jacket to hug tight to your body
The Bottom Line:
Great value down jacket
