Full Review: The Baron 6 inch is definitely more board than a guy my size needs. I could easily get away with the 4 inch version, but the 6 inch thick version is so much fun! I have taken this board on casual trips just paddling around practicing, and also used it on whitewater.

At a super wide and stable 36 inches, this board is more than sufficiently stable for most and is a great board to get if you are a beginner, have a family (one of the little ones could easily ride along), or just want to go out and have fun. The Baron 6 will deliver.

For its size one would expect a sluggish, poorly maneuvering board, but what I found out it is quite the contrary. For an inflatable it has good rigidity and on top of it maintains that rigidity until you manually deflate the board. The glide is good on this, and pivot turns are a breeze! I enjoy this board and prefer it over many.

The Good List: Super stable, durable, and surprisingly agile.

The Not so Good List: The fin is a little long for doing whitewater... but you do have the choice of taking it off

The Bottom Line: The NRS Baron is a wonderful SUP board that melds convenience with performance in a sweet package.
