Staff Pick: Teva Original Universal Sandal

The Teva Original Universal Sandal is my go-to footwear for just about any summertime activity. I wear these sandals for dog walking, beach tripping, and river fording, for disk golfing, warm weather hiking, rock hopping, and even for tree climbing. I love how easy it is to slip on and off these shoes at a moment’s notice, and how comfortable and lightweight the universal strapping system is (I’ve tried Chacos and Bedrocks and a few other brands of sandal, but have always preferred the simpler, more minimal design of Tevas). Even with just three velcro straps, my feet feel secure enough in the sandal to confidently climb mountains and wade through fast-moving water, thanks to the molded EVA insole (which only becomes more comfortable and fitted over time as it molds to your foot). The rubber outsole provide enough traction to keep me from slipping when climbing across rocky coastal shorelines. And the Original Universal Sandal is light enough to carry on your next backpacking trip, to slip on at the end of the day and let your feet air out!
