The trail begins above St. Johns Bridge in Forest Park.
There is a great view of the bridge early in the hike. After the viewing point, the trail is primarily up hill. The park is filled with dense and rich foliage. The trail also had a variety of mushrooms, wildflowers, and slugs.
From Ridge Trail, we got onto the Wildwood Trail, and then started our downhill trek back to the parking area. Overall, the hike was beautiful and not too challenging.
I would recommend a good pair of hiking boots because some areas were muddy and slippery.
