Video Gear Review: Dalbello Lupo 130c Ski Boot - Next Adventure

Video Gear Review: Dalbello Lupo 130c Ski Boot

Join Next Adventure staffer, Reuben, as he walks us through the Dalbello Lupo 130c.
- Hey, I'm Reuben from Next Adventure and we're here today to talk about the Dalbello Lupo 130c. The Lupo features Dalbello’s three-piece shell with a removable tongue. It also comes with a My Fit liner, GripWalk soles, and Dynafit certified Tech Inserts. While it tours extraordinarily well going uphill, when you pop the tongue back in it becomes quite stiff for the ride down. When you go to tour in this boot you can easily soften the boot by pulling up the front tab and ripping the tongue straight out. Stow the tongue in your backpack then slip the boot on. With the tongue remove the boot tours extraordinarily well. The rockered GripWalk sole means that the boot has a little bit more of a natural walking motion to it, and the lack of tongue means it flexes easily and gives it an extraordinary range of motion. When you go to ski downhill you can stick the tongue back in. Once you've locked the boot back in the ski mode and put the tongue back in, the result is an incredibly stout downhill boot that skis very well downhill and is quite stiff. It tours very well in a lightweight low-tech binding like a G3 Ion, Dynafit branded binding or Salomon MTN. Due to the GripWalk soles, it's also compatible with standard Alpine bindings that are certified for GripWalk soles like the Salomon Warden 13 that's multi norm certified or the Marker Griffon ID. This is an amazing and incredibly versatile boot for someone who's got a touring setup and a resort set up and wants one boot that can handle both. This is for aggressive skiers, typically in a higher weight category, and someone who's gonna be pushing the limits on the slopes.
