XC-2 XC BOOT - 2025
The Rossignol XC 2 cross-country ski boots are a great entry-level boot for recreational and fitness-level skiers who are looking to get out there and have some fun and get some exercise at the same time. I don’t know about you, but I find XC skiing to be quite taxing, and that’s one of the coolest things about it. You get to ski, travel, workout, and hang out all at the same time. It’s a great activity that is all too often overlooked, and maybe that’s part of the appeal. What makes a big difference in the sport is the gear. There’s a huge range of boots out there, and they all have to do a few things. First and foremost, for skiers in this range is comfort, followed closely be ease of use. Performance isn’t as much of a consideration at this entry-level, but those other categories really shine. With a lower cuff, you’ll have free range of motion as opposed to some of the boots that have a plastic cuff, which is better for control, but not quite as comfortable. These low-cut shoes are much more similar to your running shoe than any ski boot you’ve ever had on your feet. For simplicity and comfort, the laces are a pretty standard system, again, much more akin to your sneakers. The lace cover does a great job at keeping snow and moisture out, allowing you to enjoy more time outside, leading to a lovlier overall cross-country ski experience.
