MAESTRO MID - WOMEN'S CLIMBING SHOE
A revolutionary shoe that offers stability for standing on small edges and yet has enough flex for smearing, with added ankle protection. The secret of the mid lies in its refined layers of technology. Starting with an intricately-stitched 3 panel Eco Leather upper with air holes for long term wear and comfort. A full-length Janus 1.1mm plastic insert and IPC-Tension active randing system gives integral support to the foot while under pressure on small holds and maintains flex for smearing while Combination lace system spreads pressure evenly across the forefoot. Built on a master-crafted FY last, the Maestro has a straight and slightly downturned shape with a medium-to-low angled toe box that allows the Maestro to be fitted with a semi knuckled-up or flatter toe position depending on what you're after. All this sits on a 4mm Vibram XS Edge full length sole combined with 2mm XS Grip 2 heel underlay. A combination of high tech materials and decades of experience has produced a shoe that excels in the vertical world.
- Active Randing - IPC Tension system (integral power connection) is designed to offer strong support to the foot during prolonged use. Working in conjunction with the Talyn midsole, the IPC-tension system helps maintain the strength of the foot during micro foothold use.
- Midsole - A full length 1.1mm/1.4mm Talyn midsole is specially shaped to give maximum support with flex. The special design allows for flexibility at the ball of the foot for smearing while maintaining support on micro footholds. The midsole actively spreads the force for sustained periods on technical face climbs.
- Comfort and Performance Upper - Microfiber and leather combination 3-panel upper. Full-length leather base with seamless big toe panel and large seamless four-toe panel allows the toe box to gently mould and shape to your foot.
- Sole - The full length Vibram XS Edge rubber sole unit gives excellent stability for micro crystals and edges. The 2mm Vibram XS Grip 2 rubber inlay in the heel unit gives further structural support and tension to the shoe while helping maintain comfort level
