The Kaon-X is a Nidecker team favorite that’s loaded with tech, offering an ideal blend of playfulness, comfort and response. Performance begins with fit, so Nidecker matched the baseplate and hiback to the shape of their boots using an asymmetric design they call FlowFit™. Together with the AuxTech® straps, the system delivers a super snug fit and awesome edge control. When you want to lay down some looser, surf-style turns or get creative in the park, the Kaon-X has all the tweakability you need. It’s a classic two-strap model, with lightweight materials throughout and enough lateral flex to bone tricks out. Bomb-proof aluminium Axion-Ratchets can take the heaviest of knocks and enable lightning fast entry and exit time after time. We’ve capped it off with a full length EVA footbed to soak up landings, including 2-degrees of in-built canting for improved ergonomics. A great value platform for progression.

- NYLON+ AXIS UNIBASE: 30% GLASS FIBER, 70% NYLON The Axis Unibase is found on Nidecker's classic Two-Strap line and comes fitted with a fixed heelcup that matches Nidecker boots perfectly. It's a solid platform made from glass-filled nylon for damp and dependable response. The asymmetrical design features off-axis PowerBeams for optimal energy transfer from edge to edge.
- NYLON HADRON: An asymmetrical one-piece hiback molded from tough nylon to deliver a great balance of comfort and support. The Hadron is shaped for a seamless fit with Nidecker's asymmetrical boot cuffs and works great with a canted riding stance.
- EXO-FRAME STRAP: A classic ankle strap featuring an AuxTech® frame that expands evenly around the boot for a perfect fit. The upper ExoSpine helps spread pressure and locks in your boot for unequalled comfort and performance.
- HEXO TOECAP: The Hexo Toecap strap features AuxTech®; a 3D hinged auxetic pattern that expands evenly over your boot for next level comfort.
- ALUMINUM AXION RATCHET: A bombproof design that's tried and tested, the Axion Ratchet features a machine-milled aluminum lever that's smooth as butter. Gets you in and out of your straps with ease.
- AUXTECH®: AuxTech® straps feature a geometric pattern that acts as a network of tiny hinges. As you tighten the ratchet, the webbing expands evenly around your boot without stretching the material. The result is better pressure distribution, less foot fatigue and a more direct sense of connection.
- BANKBEDS: Nidecker designs their footbeds with a 2.5Âş canted contact surface for optimal ankle and knee alignment and efficient energy transmission.
