Product Review: Yak Attack Double Header Kayak Paddle Holder

Optimize Your Kayak Space with Yak Attack Double Header Paddle Holder

As a dedicated kayak bass tournament angler, I know the value of maximizing every inch of space on my kayak. If you’ve ever been kayak fishing, you understand that real estate is at a premium. That’s why I rely on the Yak Attack Double Header. It provides a quick, effortless way to store my paddle out of the way, yet keeps it easily accessible when needed.

Installation and Setup (5/5)

The installation process for the Yak Attack Double Header is incredibly straightforward and quick. With just a few turns of the knob, you can loosen it, slide the T-bolt into any standard gear track, tighten it down, and you’re ready to go. This paddle holder is also multipurpose; you can attach various accessories to it. Need a spot for your camera to capture the perfect angle? No problem. Want a place to set your pole while you’re fighting a monster bass to unhook it? The Double Header is there to lend an extra hand.

Design and Build Quality (4/5)

The Yak Attack Double Header is built to last through years of use. It’s a no-frills, easy-to-use paddle holder that extends two RotoGrips out to the side of the kayak. This innovative solution for paddle storage involves just a few easy steps: set the paddle on the RotoGrip wheels and gently press down to hold it securely. For added security, a bungee strap is included to go over the top. The design is simple, versatile, and so easy to use that even a toddler could do it.

Space Efficiency (5/5)

Space efficiency is where the Double Header truly shines. As shown in the picture below, the Double Header extends the paddle holder to the side of the kayak, elevating your paddle and allowing better use of the built-in gear track. Positioned towards the rear of the kayak, the paddle just clears the arms of my landing gear. This product compensates for minor design oversights by some manufacturers and improves the functionality of others. The Yak Attack Double Header is an essential addition to any kayak.

Versatility (4/5)

The RotoGrips on the Double Header are compatible with any standard kayak paddle. There are additional versions available for storing a push pole or a pole for a micro power pole, making it a great option for items that could be 8-12 feet long.

Overall Impression (5/5)

In conclusion, the Yak Attack Double Header Kayak Paddle Holder is a quick and easy solution for storing your paddle. It keeps it out of the way when not in use, but still very accessible when needed. This simple yet useful design is something I didn’t know I needed until I had one. Now, I can’t imagine kayaking without it.
